My name is Catherine Carlson.

My first and most important job is as Mom to a wonderful middle-schooler.  I live with her, my husband of 25 years, and our doodle dog in SE Michigan, where I get to experience all four seasons and most especially the beautiful lakes—Great and small.

I was raised Catholic and I recall going to catechism and church as a child and enjoying the sacred ceremonies and the smell of the incense.  I also felt uncomfortable as I listened intently to the words that were said or read.  They neither comforted me, nor made a lot of sense. I remember visualizing my little body roasting over the coals in Hell, fearing that type of punishment would follow fighting with my brother or any minor infraction.  The fear and confusion I felt from religion gave birth to a seeker. For as long as I can remember I’ve been asking the big questions: What is this world really about? What are we doing here? And, what happens after this?

I love to learn so once I had graduated from college, I unconsciously began to school myself in all things metaphysical. Beyond reading, I joined groups, attended workshops and classes and went to see authors speak like other people go to concerts. I studied Tarot, Angels and Aura-Soma, a type of color therapy, in depth. For over three decades I have searched and I can honestly say I have indeed found some answers!

This long and winding road led me to astrology, the language of the stars, one that makes perfect sense to me. I received my training through Debra Silverman's Astrology School, where I completed all three levels. The Sun, the moon, the planets and even asteroids reflect us and our world.  It all begins with the minute YOU were born. The stars are not just something out there—they are connected to each and every one of us.  I am able to translate your personal chart and highlight your gifts, challenges and opportunities.
